Vinita Dahiya, PhD student (PhD candidate)
Vinita Dahiya is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ohio State University. Her current research is focused on the development of cost effective long wave infrared imagers via MOCVD technique. Previously she was carrying out her PhD in the Department of Optical Science and Engineering at University of New Mexico (since 2014). At UNM she focused on the MBE growth of III-V based mid-infrared detectors. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics at Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering) in 2014. During her Bachelor's study, her research work was primarily focused on Photonic Crystal waveguides and fiber for high power applications. Vinita is a recipient of SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship (2013) and SPIE Author Travel grants.
