Kicking off the New Year

The KIND group celebrated the New Year and our one year anniversary at Ohio State with three events.

<Jan. 4th>

At our winter social, a pizza party with family and friends, a white elephant gift exchange taught exposed us to bacon wallets, wrinkles in time, and nonsensical Korean poetry.

<Jan. 5th>

We followed that social with an all-day group retreat at the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Each group member presented on the progress made over the last six months, and we discussed the exciting work ahead.

Finally, the KIND group already has a 2018 publication on the books. Ali Kazemi is the lead author, and Stephen Myers, Zahra Taghipour, Sen Mathews, Ted Schuler-Sandy, Seunghyun Lee and Dr. Krishna all contributed to this Infrared Physics & Technology article on a “mid-wavelength infrared unipolar nBp superlattice photodetector”.
